My career began when I was thrown into the fire that is the creative department of an award-winning advertising agency in Memphis, Tennessee.
Armed with a talent for writing, a modicum of wit, and an insatiable drive to learn and succeed, I tackled the job of copywriter with a zeal that surprised even me. Within six months, I was named lead copywriter on one of the agency’s two largest accounts (the University of Memphis). It was only then that I began to think deeply about my newfound passion and how far it might take me — and the answer that began to burn inside me was a bigger market.
I’ve come to New York to write copy. To conceive campaigns. To sell products in ways they have never been sold before. To join a creative team with ideas and ideals that are cutting edge, ambitious, and intoxicatingly smart.
Much of my success lies in the unique way I complement my ability to think creatively with a knack for thinking strategically. When I write, I solve problems. It’s this skill, along with enthusiasm and a solid work ethic that I’ve brought with me as I take the step toward doing the job I love to do in the heart of where everything is happening.
I’m confident I can be an asset for any agency willing to give me a chance. And I’m eager to speak with anyone willing to spare the time to help introduce me to the New York advertising scene and impart any wisdom about what it takes to thrive in this market.
